Summary:
The role involves engaging with farmers through field demonstrations, organizing farmer meetings, and implementing farmer-level marketing strategies to promote products. Additionally, the officer will provide technical support, train sales teams, and liaise with the agriculture department for statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Organize field demonstrations to highlight product USPs from farmers’ perspectives.
- Develop and execute farmer-level marketing strategies to spread product awareness.
- Plan and conduct farmer meetings to educate and engage potential users.
- Create marketing communications for internal sales teams, channel partners, and farmers.
- Train sales teams and participate in farmer and partner meetings.
- Collect and document farmer testimonials and images for branding and marketing.
- Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and liaise with relevant authorities.
- Identify gaps in the product portfolio and communicate them to the product development team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to build strong relationships with farmers and stakeholders to drive product adoption.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in product development or market development in the agricultural input sector.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Knowledge of agricultural regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and training abilities.
