Job Title: Area Sales Manager
Location: Gujarat (1 Rajkot & 1 Ahmedabad)
Work days: 6 days a week
Salary Range: as per market standards (Based on profile and seniority of candidate)
Job Overview:
The Area Sales Manager at Univia will be responsible for leading and supervising the sales activities within a designated region. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders like Retailers and influencing farmer.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
 Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the assigned region to achieve revenue and market share targets.
 Identify sales opportunities and potential customers in that territory.
 Set sales goals, quotas, and objectives for the sales team.
 Monitor and evaluate team performance against sales targets.
 Work on getting forecasting of products for each month
Team Leadership:
 Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Representatives.
 Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members to improve their performance.
 Foster a collaborative and motivated sales team culture.
Customer Relationship Management:
 Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, farmers, agricultural cooperatives and other stakeholders.
 Address customer inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.
 Identify customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations.
Market Analysis:
 Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, pricing etc
 Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and threats.
 Use data-driven insights to adjust sales strategies and product offerings.
Product Knowledge:
 Develop a deep understanding of agricultural products and services offered by the company.
 Educate the sales team and customers about product features, benefits, and applications.
 Usage of app to be promoted among GPs
Budget and Reporting:
 Prepare and manage the sales budget for the region.
 Generate regular sales reports and performance metrics for senior management.
Compliance:
Ensure that all sales activities adhere to relevant agricultural regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field (preferred).
 Proven experience in agricultural sales or a similar role.
 Strong leadership and team management skills.
 Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
 In-depth knowledge of agricultural products, practices, and industry trends.
 Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key agricultural stakeholders.
 Proficiency in using sales management software and tools.
 Analytical and problem-solving skills.
 Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
